Interview with Andy, October 3, 2001.

A: My name’s Andy Jackson. Where am I from? Melbourne.

R: What do you think of globalisation in general?

A: I think it’s too much focussed on the economic. It should be about everything else as well, not just on the money.

R: Do you feel like you’re part of a global community?

A: Whether I like it or not, I am. I’m still trying to work out what to do about it, how to make sure I’m connected to other people around the world. It’s hard.

R: What’s your ethnicity?

A: Whitebread. Very United Kingdom, mixed Welsh, Scottish, Irish, English.

R: Do you feel like you’re a part of a global community of people of that ethnicity?

A: No, I feel I live in Melbourne amongst people who are good friends of mine.
