The medieval majesty of Carcasonne

Carcasonne is a walled town that's pretty well preserved since it was rebuilt in the 13th century after Edward the Black burnt it to the ground chasing Cathars...

On the way to the old city of Carcasonne, there's a fantastic mural spelling out the name of the town in an illustrated history...here the letter 'A'... and the letter 'O'.
