This is Rosanne standing on the Alcantara Bridge with the gate in the background. The slight indents to the side make great spots to stand and gawp, but David says they're so carriages can pull to the side while someone else passes. rosanne on the alcantara

Just on the other side of the banks here is a gate and a steep, twisty walkway leading up to a tower with semi-flying buttresses. If you make it that far you then have to deal with... tower in toledo

...the Alcazar on the hill. Now a museum with more swords than you can poke a pike at. Also features an amazing model of how the place was destroyed in 1936...
