Glastonbury & Camelot

From Avebury we went to Glastonbury... the beginning of our Arthur tour... Needless to say, we climbed the (very tall) hill to get to the famed Glastonbury Tor. It was very windy but very worth it. An old druid at the top told us stories about the Tor and recommended we go to St Nectan's Glen near Tintagel if we sought healing.

Driving around this area was bizarre, since it resembled the barrow downs...

We went to a lovely cafe here and then visited the Chalice Well. We brought home blessed water from here... Rosanne went to a poetry gig in an old hall while David had a well deserved night alone...

From here we went to Cadbury, which is a supposed site of Camelot. Certainly, it used to be a castle and is no longer... it's very odd... eerie to imagine that time can cover so thoroughly...

Read Rosanne's poem about this one.
