13–16/08/03 — Friends indeed
At
this point, we pause momentarily to relax at the
house of best friend in the world, Christina, who
now lives in Enschede, Holland. I took no photos
because I was having too much fun. I did however
write poetry about
how utterly incredible it was to have my first hot
bath in who knows how long.
This, by the way, is not her house. It's the Waag Building in Amsterdam.
I caught up with Bruno Félix there who I knew from x|media|lab and discovered some amazing places and people — and of course, wrote stories about them for The Australian.
Oh, and needless to say, I didn't take this photo. It was supplied to me by The Waag for use alongside the story I wrote. I believe The Australian did publish it; it's a pretty amazing photo.
After relaxing at Christina's, enjoying the company of Niels, her partner and Poesje, their kitty and glorious trips to the hot springs just over the border in Germany, I jumped on a train and continued on my merry way.
