I still hate London.
Tired but content at my friend Jo's house after a superb dinner, nice wine and yummy homemade apple crumble.
I'm up way later than I need be because I started reading all the LJ posts I'd missed out on while I waited for my CD drive to burn the back up.
Got e-mail from a certain editor of a certain section of a certain newspaper saying "Hmm... can't seem to find those invoices you're chasing... can you resend them?". Note to self: sign and process freelancer's invoices IMMEDIATELY if ever in a position of such power again.
Very, very odd to be back in a non-post-communist country (see previous entries).
Note of amusement: went to plug in laptop here. Momentary confusion as I note the shape of the plug does not match the shape of the European adapter. Odd feeling as the memory of planning from months earlier kicks in, I calmly go to the laptop bag and get out the British plug adapter I've been carrying ready for just this moment.
