Career summary

I have extensive experience in magazine editing, digital publishing and work for non-profit organizations. I have worked on digital culture titles, food and culture titles, travel titles and political issues. I write swiftly and smoothly; my strengths are content strategy, social media, interviewing and editing. I am highly organised and have developed my own production processes over the years. I’m up to date with all the latest publishing technologies — I know InDesign, advanced editing in Word, Dreamweaver and a host of content management systems. I am au fait with current user-generated publishing trends.

My most recent position was as the digital strategist for the City of Melbourne, Australia. I edited 64 magazine and 11°south as part of Vanguard Media. I was launch editor for Unique Traveller magazine. I was the editor of e)mag magazine for Fairfax. I was the founding editor of internet.au magazine, online content manager at Choice and have extensive industry experience with Australian Macworld Magazine, desktop publishing and book editing. I’ve also written on human rights, and taught international and gender politics.
